I know you’ve felt
it, Greenpeacer.
Temperatures are
higher than they’ve ever been. That’s not hyperbole — that’s fact. While
some may suggest this is our "new normal," here at Greenpeace, we’re
fighting day in, day out to make sure world leaders and everyday individuals
alike understand that we can’t continue with the status quo.
It’s crucial that
we remain aware of the terrifying
future in store for us if we don’t act right now.
That’s why we’ve
prepared a virtual tour: to show the real-life impact of continued climate
inaction in communities like yours across the country. Please, Greenpeacer, get ready to
explore our future to see what happens if Big Oil wins. Start the virtual
journey now!

“Democrats are
gaslighting us on the climate crisis.”
Jill Stein for President Aug 5,
2024
James,
The Republican Party has a well-earned reputation for climate change denial.
During the RNC, Trump crudely bellowed a favorite refrain of Republican
leadership: “Drill, baby, drill!” to the cheers of his reactionary followers.
The Democrats show more decorum when it comes to the life
and death issue of impending climate disaster. You won’t see Joe Biden or
Kamala Harris saying “drill, baby, drill!” out loud, but in practice, that’s
exactly what they’ve been doing.
Did you know that the
Biden-Harris administration has approved almost 50% more oil and gas
drilling permits on federal land in its first 3 years than the
Trump administration did in its first 3 years? At the COP26 summit in Glasgow
in 2021, Biden declared climate change “an existential threat to human
existence” – and then turned around to offer up 80 million acres in the
Gulf of Mexico for oil and gas leasing just days following the summit. The
Biden-Harris administration knows how to talk the talk by parroting
climate-friendly buzzwords, but they haven’t walked the walk. We’re tired of
their gaslighting on the climate crisis while they implement dangerous policies
that sell our children’s futures out to corporate greed.
Kamala is now claiming she takes climate emergency
seriously – just days after assuring the billionaire donor class who anointed
her their nominee that she would support fracking, flip-flopping from her
pledge to ban this climate-killing practice during her 2020 campaign.
Only Jill Stein will declare a climate emergency on day one as President that will release billions of dollars per year to reverse pending environmental disaster.
