November 20 Final Farmer's Market Anti-War Protest

Next Saturday the 20th will be the final Fayetteville Farmer's Market for 2010. Thanks to all of you who have contributed. This is an invitation to all to join us this final Market tabling day, including lunch at Whole Earth on Center St. at 11:45. Bill will probably let us perform music if you want to bring your guitar or flute.

On this final day we will gather more signatures on the remaining petitions (we have mailed the drones and Afghan petititons and will mail the START petition this week), and will mail them soon after, all to officials who should know that the members of OMNI will not be silent but will continue to hold them responsible for the quality of our democracy.

On this day the 20th we will also continue to praise people who possess high character in their advocacy of truth, peace, and justice. We have celebrated Barbara Lee and Russ Feingold. Next Saturday we will celebrate Julien Assange and Private Bradley Manning for taking great risks, like Daniel Ellsberg, to provide the information we need to be infomred citizens in a democracy empowered to prevent and end illegal and unjust wars.

Your anti-war committee intends to continue to table and find other modes of expression. Give us your participation.
Dick
