This book and the Green New Deal place the domain of renewable
energy within the civil rights discourse of inequality and access to justice. For the GND, however, that is only half of the
project, of which the other and precedent is the rapid replacement of fossil
fuels combustion with renewable energy.
Stopping climate change and producing a more equitable world are
inseparable goals.
