The militarization of the US on Earth—the $600 billion
budget for the Pentagon 2008-09 plus a hundred billion more for Iraq and Afghan
wars, some 900 military bases abroad—is being expanded to include outer
space. We should be demanding our presidential
candidates to include this dangerous extension of the war system in their debates and to oppose it and begin
to reject it. WE, THE PEOPLE.
