Dear Soapbox Friend,
I am in Victoria, BC for the celebration of "Earth, Peace, Justice" Day and I am so happy that the community here understands that these three virtues cannot be separated.
We see with the onslaught of environmental crimes against humanity (BP/Fukushima/Depleted Uranium, etc) that the Global Military Industrial Complex and the people in the Empire who manage it won't rest until the planet is ruined for life as we know it.
Also, with BP and TEPCO execs breathing free air along with the criminals in the Bush/Obama regimes, there is little justice to be realized while Guantanamo Bay torture camp is still open and people like Bradley Manning and Lynne Stewart are incarcerated under onerous (if not torturous) conditions.
Join me this Sunday, April 17th, as I host Professor Francis Boyle on Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox. Professor Boyle is a law professor who has long fought for peace with justice and human rights.
