Consequences of US Wars: Wounded Vets

IVAW:  RIGHT TO HEAL

James ,
The Right to Heal Tour brings Operation Recovery to Western Cities
Our organizers have been working hard all summer on our Operation Recovery campaign to stop the deployment of traumatized troops.  Here's your chance to hear from them first-hand about the work they've been doing with soldiers down at Fort Hood, Texas.  They will present their findings so far after two months investigating the trauma epidemic at our nation's largest military installation.
Each stop on the Right to Heal Tour will feature a teach-in by members of the Fort Hood outreach team, as well as music and poetry performances.  Because events are trying to raise funds for our continued organizing, we will be passing the hat.

Aaron Huges, Sergio Kochergin, and Scott Kimball have been working in the belly of the U.S. military beast since Memorial Day.  They have been outreaching to soldiers and their families day in and day out to learn about the epidemic of post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, and how commanders are disregarding military regulations about treatment of soldiers.  This day to day work is part of a Iraq Veterans Against the War's longer-term stategy to stop the deployment of traumatized troops.  Come out and learn how Operation Recovery can help end the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
